A massive shoutout to all our incredible sailors and dedicated volunteers who made the John Hallett Regatta an unforgettable event!
Despite the light winds, their passion and perseverance shone through, turning challenging conditions into a day of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
Each tack and jibe showcased skill and determination, and the support on and off the water was truly heartwarming. Together, the sailors proved that the spirit of sailing is not just in the wind, but in the heart of every sailor.
Lack of wind ended the pursuit race very early on. Finish in place, which unfortunately only records top 3 at the time race was called. Congratulations to our top 3 finishers!
1st Place: Grant Wolf
2nd Place: Dave Hopkins
3rd Place: Ronald Liston
The C22 Region 8 Fleet was unable to race Saturday due to low wind, but were able to fit in one race on Sunday. Results are as follows:
1st Place: Katie McBride
2nd Place: Dennis Kokkinis
3rd Place: Chuck Atkinson
Followed by Jeff Raynal, John Wilson, Mike Lindstrom, and Charlie Wilson.
Regardless of the lack of wind, our Catalina 22 National Sailing association Commodore Duncan McBride gave high praise for the incredible regatta experience and food provided by our dedicated club members.
A special thanks to our volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their dedication is the backbone of this community, and we couldn't have done it without them!
Here's to many more regattas and adventures on the horizon. Smooth sailing, fair winds, and see you all at the next one!
